Annual function 2019
The Communicative English Department organizes its Annual Event every year which provides a great platform to the students to showcase their talents and felicitate the winners of different Literary Club activities that took place round the year. The Annual Event 2019 was held on 7th August and theme of the event was Colours. The winners of various Literary Club activities as well as the best performer of drama, all rounder and the topper of session 2018-19 were felicitated.

Movie show
On 7th March 2019 The Department of Communicative English had organized a movie show for the students of Jamshedpur Women’s College as a part of International Women’s Day celebration.
COLLAGE MAKING
The collage making competition was the first competition for the session 2019-20 of the LITERARY CLUB which was held on 8th March 2019 also as the part of international women’s day celebration.
CALLIGRAPHY COMPETITION
The calligraphy competition was the second contest of LITERARY CLUB held on 16th April 2019.
The ENGLISH LITERARY CLUB activities help the students discover themselves and their talents which they were unaware that they possessed. The LITERARY CLUB provides opportunity to the students to showcase their talents.
ANNUAL PICNIC
The Department of Communicative English organizes an annual picnic every year for the students. This year the venue for picnic was DALMA WILDLIFE SANCTUARY’S guest house at Makula Kocha. We saw both chained and unchained elephants over there. It was a beautiful place amidst greenery and mountain view just opposite to the venue. Students had lots of fun and frolic. Many interesting games were played which was organized by the games committee such as the spoon and lemon race, passing the parcel and word game. The winner of each game were awarded with gifts. Not just the winners but at the end all the students received gifts. The day was full of fun and excitement.

The Declamation Competition was organized on 9th , 10th and 11th May 2019.
LANGUAGE LAB SESSIONS
The students are taught the correct pronunciation, intonation and accent through the Language Laboratory.
